Sugar Topped Ginger Cookies
What you need: - 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tbs. molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1tsp. ginger
What you do: Cream sugar and shortening, blend in egg and molasses. Sift all dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Blend until moistened. Roll in small balls and coat with sugar. Place on a greased pan and back at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
