This is a very dense cake, but sure to please all your company over the holidays!What you need: - 5 eggs

- 1 2/3 cup white sugar
- 3/4 lb. butter
- 1 lb. cherries
- 4 cups flour (researve 1/2 cup)
What you do: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add beaten eggs alternatly with flour. Sift baking powder with 1/4 cup flour then add to mixture. Lightly flour cherries with the remaining 1/4 cup of flour, then add. Bake at 300 for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 275 and bake for an additional 40 minutes.
